Falcon's Ledge 's Tip of the Week

Fish pools and deep runs. White is great color for streamers, work them deep. Try a spanish bullet, copper johns, Baetis nymphs and rainbow warriors during the day. Afternoon midge and BWO hatches are best chance for hatch. Try blue-winged olives and midge patterns during an afternoon or evening hatch.

Nymph shallow riffles and deep runs using a lightening bug, rainbow warrior, spanish bullet or sow bug. Working white woolly buggers and white zonkers through deeper runs has also been effective. Try fishing midge emergers or soft hackles in the late afternoon before the hatch starts. Fish a parachute midge, BWO, or klinkhammer when fish are rising in the evening.
