Yellow Dog Flyfishing's Tip of the Week
Nymphing has been the best way to catch fish and has been good. Stonefly nymphs have been a great option along with midge nymphs and worms. Midges have been hatching in some areas but not many fish looking up for them. A small Parachute Adams will work for rising fish.

5-Day Outlook as of 12/18/24
Pleasant weather expected this week in Livingston area. If you do get out the fish have been willing to eat nymphs. Nymphing is best but streamer fishing with a bugger is worth a shot.
Techniques & Tips as of 12/18/24
Nymphing with small stonefly nymphs or midges has been pretty solid when fish are not looking up. Fish a small midge dry when you spot fish rising. Fish are starting to sit more in deep pools.
