The Yampa river is fishing great! The water temps are falling, and high clarity has remained after recent precipitation. This is one of the best times to hit the Yampa. Mornings and evening are the best time to be on the water. The Yampa is OPEN TO FISHING IN TOWN, AND AT CHUCK LEWIS until further notice. Fishing has been great this week. The Yampa river's transition into fall is shaping up great. Watch for high temps late afternoon with flows decreasing. Fishing smaller nymphs under an indicator should be the most productive.
