Thanks to cooler weather the conditions on the Colorado are much better! Float fishing is the best way to see water you can't normally reach. We are under a voluntary river closure from Red Dirt creek to Rifle.

A bunch of rain Mon-Tues then drying out for Labor day weekend. Water temps are falling on the Colorado, which we needed to have happen.
Techniques & Tips as of 8/31/26
Tricos, PMDs, Caddis, and Tactical nymphs are working best. Some mid to late day dry/dropper with PMD /Caddis. The Colorado is famous for it's Hopper/dropper fishing in August into September. Terrestrials are the most popular surface flies
