Doc Thompson's Tip of the Week
Rio continues to fish excellent to good as whole in the mornings. The afternoons are slowing as water temperatures warm. Seeing some dry fly fishing in the mornings. Nymphing is productive too. It is that time of year on the Rio to pay attention to water temperatures in the afternoon, if temps are warm please don't fish the warmer temps.

Doc Thompson5-Day Outlook as of 6/11/26
Flows on the Rio have been steady the last couple weeks. We've had a couple days of steady rain so might see a bump in flows on the Rio with a hint of off color water. Still seeing some tricos and other mayflies. .
Techniques & Tips as of 6/11/26
Fishing dries and dry droppers along the edges, pockets and riffles. Fishing Nymphs in the deep runs. Please avoid fishing when water temps are warm otherwise can put an extreme stress on the trout.
