Orvis Phoenix 's Tip of the Week
Fish starting to move around now. Still finding them shallow as well as above the deeper weed beds. Size 16 olive or black zebra midges have been working well. On some of the warmer days we have been having success with damsels stripped near weed beds.

5-Day Outlook as of 4/24/25
If the weather calls for wind, Becker can be a miserable place to be. Snow and cold weather coming in. Slow fishing.
Techniques & Tips as of 4/24/25
Fish chironomids under indicators, streamers, and leeches. Follow the wind! We have been having luck setting our indicator rigs just a foot above the bottom. Otherwise a foot above the weed beds if they are still roaming shallow!
