Description: About Toccoa River

The Toccoa River tailrace flows north from Lake Blue Ridge dam in Blue Ridge, GA to Copperhill, TN. The river is about 14 miles long with 4 public access points and two popular float stretches. The Toccoa is considered a small tailrace fishery compared to the other TVA coldwater fisheries in the area. Approximately 35-40 yards wide in most places, it is a small river drift boat experience. much of the river is bordered by private land with limited access. Drift boat fishing is the most productive, especially for larger fish.
