Slate Run Tackle's Tip of the Week
Finally, the region's transition to fall began with last week's 4.5 inches of rain in the Pine Creek Valley. Cooler nights and less intense heat during the day have Pine Creek fishing again, though still a little sluggish. Please do not target trout that are stacking up at the mouths of cold water tributaries. If you fish Pine Creek, please consider supporting the Brown Trout Club with a donation at www.slaterunbrowntroutclub.com Phone the Slate Run Tackle Shop at (570) 753-8551 for up-to-date conditions. The Slate Run Tackle Shop and Wolfe's General Store summer hours: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Keep in mind that the Deli closes each day at 4 p.m.

Techniques & Tips as of 9/12/22
Fish in mornings or evenings when trout are more active. Water temps can rise toward the 70-degree mark on warmer afternoons. Successful anglers are fishing subsurface patterns deep. Streamers are also working well along water seams and structure.
