Savage River Angler's Tip of the Week
Good flows! Keep in mind the stream gage is still broken on the upper savage. Should be a mix of insects of all kinds. Green drakes too… Part of the road is still out along the upper savage. Report wildlife violations to MD NRP. Put this number in your cell phone 1- 800-628-9944. Fish poaching has been a big problem for us.

Savage River Angler5-Day Outlook as of 6/19/25
Jury is out on how well the insects did during the flood. I have fished it several times. Bug life seems very low, and fish numbers are not great in the upper Savage. Last years drought and this years flood did a lot of damage. instagram.com/pj_daley www.facebook.com/savage.river.angler and www.savageriverangler.com
