Description: About Grand River

The upper Grand river is a tailwater fishery. Imagine 23 miles of river with classic riffles, runs and pools that flows from open farm land then into tight 80ft canyon walls and then back into open fields. Annually a surplus 20,000 yearly brown trout a distrubuted throughout this cold water reach of the upper Grand River. Growth rates and conditions that favour solid winter survival rates of this browns produces quite commonly +24 fish. The hatches here are bountiful and fish await each one with open willingness to strike a well presented fly.
